Tsering Yangchen, 23-years old, volunteers as the Social Media Specialist assisting specifically in LinkedIn and the company's YouTube channel. She helps with contacting businesses and does light administrative work. She has an editing background and creates videos that are published in various media outlets for the company. Tsering's job is to generate ideas and come up with strategies to help lead Newcomers in social media marketing. She graduated from Ripon College with a B.A. in Communication and Anthropology.
Tsering moved to Green Bay to become a News Writer and Editor for a local news station. She has a history of volunteering for Americorps USA, working in a marketing office for various companies, and copy writing for newspapers and magazines. Tsering's favorite work experience was volunteering for a summer at Atisha Primary School, in Kathmandu, Nepal as a Teachers Assistant for Tibetan children in exile. She stayed at the Red Cross Refugee Camp, her birthplace, during the experience. Tsering enjoys the opportunity to network and meet people in her field. She hopes to one day join the Peace Corp on a mission trip to Thailand for community development work.
Tsering is in the process of moving to Madison, WI to pursue a career in the marketing and advertising field. The position for a Social Media Specialist is now open for volunteers who are passionate about nonprofit work and have prior professional experience in various social media platforms.
