Why Herbs?

They are Nature’s remedies and have been put here by an all-wise Creator!

There is an herb for every disease that a human can be afflicted with.  The use of herbs is the oldest medical science.  Much has been written about herbs all down through history to present day.

Herbs alone can supply the natural flavors lacking in modern processed foods.  Herbs have widespread use in today’s culinary practice, for they help correct the vitamin & mineral deficiency inherent in refined, denatured substances such as white flour and sugar.

Herbs act on the blood metabolism and all life processes including the nervous system, thus they are capable of bringing the body into harmony and health.

Herbs are not habit forming nor do they produce side effects unlike harmful narcotics.  The side effects from herbs are…a healthy & energetic body!!

Nature’s herbal remedies can quickly relieve and have a curative value for many aliments.

They are one of mankind’s oldest forms of healing ~ Herbal Medicine.

Herbs do not cure!  They aide the body in its natural healing ability by replacing the body’s lost and greatly needed nutrition…good food for us!

History of Herbal Medicine

·         The first “herbal guide” dates back five thousand years to the Sumerians
·         Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India, may be even older
o    Ayurveda, Sanskrit for “The Science of Life”, is one of the world’s oldest recorded systems of natural health preserved through the ages on scrolls and manuscripts.  The Ayurvedic view of physical and mental well-being…a healthy way of living, has experienced a renewed interest as people take a proactive approach to their personal health.  Nature’s Sunshine authentic formula, developed in concert with Indian Ayurvedic masters with herbs direct from India, is true to their philosophy of restoring balance to the body.
·         Herbal prescriptions were written in hieroglyphics in ancient Egypt
·         The first Chinese herbal was compiled somewhere between 1065 BC and 711 BC
o    For thousands of years, people have used traditional Chinese herb formulas to help support a variety of body systems including circulation, digestion, respiratory and more.  Chinese medicine focuses on body, emotions and energy paths.
·         The Bible is full of references to herbs
·         The Greek physician Hippocrates recorded between 300-400 plant remedies in his writings
·         During the Middle Ages, ancient herbal remedies were passed on from generation to generation
·         English settlers shared knowledge of herbal medicine with the Native Americans, who introduced the settlers to many local herbs that were brought back to Europe

Herbs…

…feed, regulate and cleanse the body naturally
…give the body the raw materials it needs to do its own healing work
…do not buildup in the body or produce harmful side effects like synthetic drugs and supplements
…are key to improving our health!

I work with 2 major supplement companies…Nature’s Sunshine Products & Sisel International.  Both companies have high integrity in business ethics & products!  There’s so much more about these companies that truly sets them apart from everyone else!  I’m happy and honored to be a part of these companies!!

Why waste your money on products that just don’t work?  Plus…they congest the body even more.  If you are not going to take good quality supplements…then please…eat good healthy food!  Organic when you can and especially locally grown foods.
