Friday on the Fox

       Well the final “Friday on the Fox” has come and went, wrapping up yet another year of per-weekend entertainment. In proper fashion the young professionals network and Hagemeister put on a wildly popular show that exceeded expectations.

       Green Bay's mainstay swing band “Shaker and the Egg” graced the stage. Pat Schorr, lead vocals, lived up to his reputation with a enthralling display of energy and excitement that always generates participation from the audience. But who can forget the rest? Tony Warpinski, multi- instrumental extraordinaire never let the audience down with the way he manipulates his guitar, Seth Jorgensen with his smooth sax that highlights every song, Erik Sikich pleased the audience with his ever-so-talented bass lines, Andrew Klaus -always keeping the beat and performing his trademark drum solos where he actually leaves his seat to work his way around the kit, and of course; Alex Drossart, always melodically maintaining a beat with the keyboard / piano section.

       All in all, we are sad to spend our Friday's preoccupied with other ventures, but in Green Bay fashion (work hard / play hard) the final Friday on the Fox was spectacular with Shaker and the Egg.

A Newcomers’ Perspective: Green Bay City Boardwalk

Quickly becoming a mainstay in the Green Bay community, the city boardwalk is an asset to Green Bay's newly renovated waterfront.

With music that can easily cater to anyone's auditory pallet, ranging from a rendition of dueling banjos done with pianos, to a more progressive R&B funk sound, there is surely something that everyone will enjoy.

One of the most important things about Fridays on the Fox, (and frankly greatest part of Green Bay) is how all activities are geared towards families and children. From Artstreet, to music in the park; all events provide a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of space for the little ones to play while enjoying food, friends and family.

Spanning from early summer until mid August, families can enjoy the Fox River Trail which offers 20 miles of waterfront walking and biking.

If biking isn't your thing, enjoy one of the many events like Waterboard Warriors, which extends from June through July. The waterfront offers many fun activities for anyone, families included, and is a great way to integrate yourself into the community.
